Honeymoon Hot Spots

You’ve registered for china and ordered the cake, but the wedding fun doesn’t end after you exchange vows. Now it’s time for one of the best parts of newly wedded bliss to begin—the honeymoon. With options ranging from the sunny tropics and historic hideaways, it’s not always easy to narrow down just the right destination for one of the most memorable vacations of your life. The Getaway Girl®, Casey Wohl, a newlywed herself, is here to help with four pristine honeymoon hot spots where you and yours can bask in your recent matrimony.

Nantucket
A "far-away" feel, 30 miles at sea off the coast of Massachusetts, although very accessible via ferries
and major carriers seasonally.  Nantucket is incredibly romantic, indulgent and distinctive accommodations including B&Bs, inns, hotels and resorts (recommend Brass Lantern Inn; Michelle the Innkeeper is amazing).  With world-class dining featuring renowned and acclaimed chefs serving up continental and nouvelle cuisine featuring Nantucket's amazingly fresh seafood bounty.  A wide array of recreational options are available, from highly active to more relaxing sightseeing including cycling, surfing, kayaking, sailing, whale watching, fishing, magnificent and secluded beaches and must-see museums and historic sites, not to mention day spas.  Plus, enjoy distinctive shopping in one-of-a-kind and high-brow brand stores, boutiques and shops.  Nantucket's size ensures an all-island experience in just a few days to take in its incomparable charm and beauty.

Cook Islands
The Cook Islands is a parliamentary democracy in the South Pacific Ocean in free association with New Zealand. It comprises 15 small islands whose total land area is about 100 square miles.
As a lesser known vacation spot, the gorgeous and intimate Cook Islands host about 7,500 North American visitors a year.
Rarotonga (the main island and capital of the Cook Islands) has it all: from paddle boarding, kite surfing & snorkeling in the blue lagoons and basking in the sun on the white sand beaches to exploring the lushly green interior of the island on a safari tour or trekking adventure.
Honeymooners can pick up some local goodies, such as some traditional clothing items from Tav's on Rarotonga (worn by the likes of Kate Middleton!) and black pearls, the speciality of the Cook Islands.
Crown Beach Resort & Spa, located on Rarotonga, offers 36 private villas spread over 5 acres of botanical gardens that lead to a white sand beach and turquoise lagoon that teems with colorful fish and coral.
Crown Beach Resort is a true haven for couples seeking privacy, seclusion, luxury and warm island hospitality. Crown Beach is a full service resort with all of the amenities usually associated with larger resorts, including concierge, dive centre, spa & wellness clinic, and gym & yoga studio.  The resort offers a full range of romantic features including private beachfront dinner settings for two, and nightly turndown service with flowers and candles.

Eleuthra
The Cove, Eleuthera is one of the most romantic getaways in the world.  A luxury resort where
honeymooners feel like they have a Caribbean paradise all to themselves. The Cove, Eleuthera opened in the Spring 2013 and is fast becoming the Bahama’s most popular and romantic resort.
Newlyweds can relax in their own private villa overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, only steps away from a private pink sand beach. The ultimate in luxury, the villa comes complete with its own private butler, private pool, deck and the finest amenities. The chef is available to prepare a candlelight dinner on the beach or by the pool.  The Cove has something for everyone and its cottages and suites are perfect for honeymooners looking for a less elaborate experience. All Cove units are steps away from the beach.

Honeymooners can hop on The Cove's private jet in Ft. Lauderdale and arrive on the island of Eleuthera just 45 minutes later where they can be greeted by a driver bearing champagne.
The kaleidoscope of an Eleutheran sunset will take your breath away. Couples can choose to savor a sunset from several vantage points: on the pink sand beach; alone on their private deck; atop a 600 foot point that extends over the water; or from our 110 foot Infinity pool,  all magnificent spots for honeymooners to toast a new marriage or to enjoy the colorful evening sky.

Cars are not allowed on the property and 250,000 square feet of gentle cashmere Zoysia grass provides a natural carpet throughout the property. You won’t want to wear shoes!  Hundreds of indigenous palm trees provide shade and hammocks on the property.
The Cove, Eleuthera opened March 1, 2013 and is already Trip Advisor's
#1 rated hotel on the island of Eleuthera, which is Greek for freedom & honeymooners are free to do what they
want at The Cove, Eleuthera with a talented staff who go above and beyond.
