We stopped at the renowned Loveless Cafe for breakfast today. The meal started with the amazing homemade biscuits made from a secret recipe. We had scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, fried chicken, fried okra, macaroni & cheese, meatloaf and BBQ pulled pork. It was way too much food and we left with To Go boxes; however, it is worth the stop (and the wait). Be sure to call ahead (reservations are not accepted). After Calling ahead, we still had to wait about 20 minutes, but without calling ahead, we would have been waiting 90 minutes. The Loveless Cafe has been a favorite of locals, visitors and celebrities for more than half a century.
The Loveless story has been told by Gourmet Magazine and Bon Appetit, as well as U.S. News and World Report, CBS Television, and People Magazine. At Loveless, you'll experience casual Southern dining and hospitality at its best.
