Nothing Mini About Lobstering

With a late start of 5:00 a.m., we all boarded the boat and headed out to the Gulf of Mexico for a fabulous day of lobstering during Florida's Annual Mini Lobster Season. After several hours of snorkeling and SCUBA diving for these delectable creatures, we reached our limit of 60 "bugs" (six/person) and headed home.
On our way in, we were randomly pulled over by the Coast Guard. The officers boarded our boat and reviewed our catch for the day. Good thing we are law abiding citizens! They let us continue the ride in, but not without some photos with The Getaway Girl to document the event.
After showers and naps, we re-convened for a huge Lobster Feast. The best part of catching the spiny fellows is the eating part, especially when they are fresh from the ocean.
